The advantages of NLP coaching sessions for teenagers are too numerous to mention here, but there are some examples I would like to highlight:
Responsible young adults – making informed choices
Focused on positive outcomes – revision, exams etc
Excited about their lives – positive beliefs/feelings, values
Control over where, what happens to them – planning the future, choices
Anger / Mood Management – including unstable relationships/family
Positive Attitude – at school with difference, diversity in school
Support/Mentoring over what can be perceived as difficult teenage years
Celebrating being different – focusing on what they are good at
Resulting in:
A confidential, safe, neutral environment to explore feelings, thoughts and troubles, with useful techniques, that focus solely on the individual needs.
Coaching gives teenagers/children the opportunity and time to discuss, plan, and implement changes they would like to make in their life.
For teenagers coaching offers them a chance to see that they do have control over their lives. How they do things. Why they do things and what they can do to be the person they want to be.
Childhood is meant to be a carefree, exciting time, full of fun and laughter, and good memories.
When things go wrong, life gets stressful or throws a few twists and turns, as it sometimes does, if there is no support network, or support strategies in place – their choices and options can feel, and seem very limited.
NLP is fast, effective and profoundly powerful.

The who, what, when, where, how and why of NLP Coaching
Who: The beauty of empowerment coaching is that there is no age limit.
Communication is necessary at every age, it gives you the ability to plan the outcome you want, while being aware of the consequences of your actions.
What: It gives people the ability to see things from a different perspective.
It lets you take responsibility for your life, and explore your choices and options positively enabling you to reach your full potential, and control the direction in which you are heading.
When: Coaching is used to make your goals and outcomes a reality, whatever they may be. If you are not who/where you want to be then empowerment coaching is for you.
Where: Generally in surroundings that are comfortable and familiar to you. This makes it easier to relax, focus and accomplish your goals.
How: By using proven tools, techniques and strategies, which result in self belief, confidence, and an exciting outlook for the future you are creating. When you are on the right track you will know, and as a result of the positive tools and techniques you will have the ability to drawn on your internal resources when you need to.
Why: To look forward to the future as that is where you are going to spend the rest of your life!
To be the person you want to be, to do what you want to do today, no regrets. If you are not happy where you are, nothing is going to change unless you do something different! You cannot change any-one, and no-one can change you. Low self esteem, lack of confidence, lack of options, choice and self belief, results from feeling there is no other way.
Enabling teenagers to reach their full potential reflects well on them, their families, their school, their community and their futures. Believing in them and teaching them to focus empowers them to make informed decisions.
If you always do what you always did, then you will always get what you always got.
Do something different and you will get something different!
